YouthSafe is an international association, non-profit organization, newly established in 2022 in Sweden. It aims to share challenges, knowledge, expertise, smart solutions and networks in the field of traffic, road safety and environment in collaboration with other countries towards sustainable transport system.
The association will work for increased awareness and education of road safety for vulnerable road users with focus on children and youth nationally and internationally.
The association will cooperate with authorities, universities, schools, civil society and industry in Sweden and in other countries. The association wants to build a network for sharing know-how, best practices and joint activities internationally to solve the traffic accident problem and environment with focus on the target group of children and youth.
Sweden is one of many countries with decades of advanced experience in working with road safety. Today, there are modern knowledge, research, measures, and innovative smart solutions for traffic safety in Sweden. This includes, among other things, intelligent transport systems, Artificial Intelligence AI, and the Zero Vision, which aims to ensure that no one dies or seriously injured in traffic in Sweden. Much of this Swedish knowledge and experience can also be transferred, exchanged, and implemented in other countries.
